Basketball Recap: Post Falls Takes a Loss

Post Falls played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 77-40 defeat at the hands of the Coeur d'Alene Vikings. The Trojans have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Coeur d'Alene to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brookeslee Colvin, who went 9 of 11 on her way to 23 points in addition to seven steals and five assists. The contest was Colvin's fifth in a row with at least 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexie Wheeler, who went 7 for 12 en route to 16 points along with seven assists and four steals.

Post Falls' loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Coeur d'Alene, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

While Post Falls had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
