Basketball Recap: Sayre Takes a Loss

Sayre was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Frederick Douglass Broncos, falling 85-64. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (59), the Spartans still had to take the loss.

Sayre's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Frederick Douglass, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sayre will square off against Berea at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Frederick Douglass, they are taking a road trip to face off against Lafayette at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
