Basketball Game Preview: Forest Park Panthers vs. M.L. King Lions

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Forest Park Panthers challenge the M.L. King Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday... Forest Park has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 19.

Back in December of 2024, Forest Park was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 62-61 to Mundy's Mill.

M.L. King hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against Redan by a score of 76-63 on Saturday.

M.L. King pushed their record up to 5-11 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.8 points per game. As for Forest Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Forest Park won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in January of 2020, slipping by M.L. King 62-61. The rematch might be a little tougher for Forest Park since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
