Basketball Recap: Mooresville Takes a Loss

The Mooresville Blue Devils came up short against the Lake Norman Charter Knights on Friday and fell 53-46. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Reece Long, who dropped a double-double with 30 points and ten rebounds for Lake Norman Charter. Long's big performance that evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Courtney, who posted nine points in addition to eight assists and four steals.

Mooresville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Lake Norman Charter, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mooresville will take on Cox Mill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Norman Charter, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kings Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
