Softball Game Preview: Incarnate Word Academy Falcons vs. Kinkaid Falcons

We've got a battle between Falcons coming up. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Incarnate Word Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let First Baptist Christian get on the board and left with a 19-0 win on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won eight in a row.

Paloma Aleman and Chloe Mullen did most of the damage at the plate: Aleman scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Mullen scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance gave Mullen a new career-high in runs. Leighton Murphy was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Kinkaid made easy work of Fort Bend Christian Academy on Thursday and carried off a 12-3 win.

Kinkaid now has a winning record of 2-1-1. As for Incarnate Word Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4-1.
