Softball Preview: Arlington Spy Ponders vs. Belmont Marauders        
        
		
            
 Arlington is 10-0 against Belmont since May of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Tuesday. The Arlington Spy Ponders are on the road again  to play the Belmont Marauders at 4:15  p.m. Arlington is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3  runs per game  this season.
 Arlington stacked  a  fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They put the hurt on Winchester with a sharp  16-6 win.
  Piper Guiney made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed six innings while giving up  three earned  (and three unearned) runs off   six  hits. Guiney has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Guiney was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Nora Vartanian was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with a  home run, three  runs,  and a  triple. Another player making a difference was  Zoe DiAngelis, who  went 3-for-4 with four  RBI, a  triple,  and a  stolen base.
 Belmont lost  13-4 to Burlington last Wednesday.
 Arlington has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record  this season. As for Belmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
 Arlington took their  victory against Belmont  when the teams last played  back in April by a conclusive  12-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Arlington since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
