Baseball Recap: Lincoln Charter's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Lincoln Charter extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Burns. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Bulldogs 7-5. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in March, they had to take a 7-2 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Reed Osborne, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Lincoln Charter, bringing their record up to 22-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Burns, they moved to 24-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Lincoln Charter will challenge East Rutherford on Friday. The Cavaliers will roll in looking for their 26th straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. Burns does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
