Baseball Recap: Elkhorn North vs. Blair Bears
Elkhorn North and Blair squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Elkhorn North had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Blair Bears by a score of 9-8. Elkhorn North was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Blair apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played last Saturday.
Elkhorn North got a big performance out of Tyson Fancher, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two doubles and a stolen base. Another player making a difference was Ethan Asmus, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
On Blair's side, Nelson Kosch was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Brown, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
This is the second loss in a row for Elkhorn North and nudges their season record down to 18-9. As for Blair, they now have a winning record of 13-12.
Elkhorn North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Blair, they are on the road again on Wednesday to play Gretna East at 4:00 p.m. Blair will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
