Basketball Recap: Fox Tech Takes a Loss

Fox Tech managed to slip by Madison the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Buffaloes lost 63-41 to the Mavericks on Friday. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Madison can attribute much of their success to Josiah Fite-Brown, who shot 67% from the field on his way to 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Fite-Brown is becoming a predictor of the Mavericks' success: when he posts at least three steals the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Branden Pryor, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 14 points.

Fox Tech's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Madison, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Fox Tech will venture away from home to take on Lytle at 12:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Madison, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-48 victory against Highlands on the 22nd.
