Softball Recap: Woodland Takes a Loss

Woodland was the 8-7 winner over Ridgefield when they last played one another on April 14th, but their luck changed this time around. The Beavers fell 6-1 to the Spudders on Wednesday. The Beavers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Woodland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Manalili, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Woodland's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Ridgefield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Woodland will look to defend their home field on Friday against R.A. Long at 4:30 p.m. As for Ridgefield, they will square off against Hockinson at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spudders are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
