Softball Recap: Tylertown Falls to Franklin County in First Game of Season

Tylertown unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 19-5 to the Franklin County Bulldogs on Monday. The Chiefs have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Kelsie Patterson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. What's more, she also racked up two hits, the most she's had since back in February of 2024.

Coming up, Tylertown is headed away from home for the first time to square off against West Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Franklin County, they will square off against Brookhaven at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
