Volleyball Recap: Northwestern Regional Beats Lewis Mills for Their Fourth Straight Win

Northwestern Regional had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Lewis Mills Spartans. This was payback for the Highlanders, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Northwestern Regional was especially dominant in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-22, 12-25, 25-15.

Northwestern Regional's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophie Stanulis, who had ten digs and one assist. Evelyn Dwan also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Northwestern Regional was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 14 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Lewis Mills' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maddie Zimmerman, who had five digs and four aces. Agatha Korba was another key player, getting ten digs.

Northwestern Regional's record is now 7-2. As for Lewis Mills, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
