Basketball Recap: Baker County Takes a Loss

Baker County lost against Pataula Charter Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bears were outmatched by the Panthers and fell 71-42. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pataula Charter Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amyre Welch, who shot 86% from the field to rack up 12 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Doljhai Williams, who went 5-for-10 en route to 14 points.

Baker County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pataula Charter Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Baker County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Southland Academy at 7:15 p.m. on December 4. As for Pataula Charter Academy, they are taking a road trip to challenge Westwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
