Volleyball Recap: Lutheran South Comes Up Short

Lutheran South had lost four straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 3-7 to make it five. They lost 3-0 to the Burroughs Bombers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

As for Burroughs, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-6-1. They not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 9th (when they won 3-0).

Bailey Biggs was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 18 digs and three assists. That's the most digs she has posted over her last 11 games.

Lutheran South has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Visitation Academy on the 18th. As for Burroughs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Notre Dame on the 19th.
