Basketball Preview: Bishop Manogue Miners vs. Carson Senators
Bishop Manogue has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Carson Senators at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
On Friday, Bishop Manogue came up short against the Huskies and fell 52-45.
Meanwhile, Carson's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 11th straight loss. They fell to Galena 52-47. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Carson in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now lost four in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Justin Moore, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mouhamed Fall, who scored eight points.
Bishop Manogue's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Carson, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-19.
Bishop Manogue beat the Senators 52-43 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bishop Manogue since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
