Basketball Recap: Old Town Takes a Loss

Old Town was the 61-58 winner over Caribou when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Old Town Coyotes came up short against the Caribou Vikings on Saturday, falling 62-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Coyotes have suffered against the Vikings since December 23, 2017.

This is the second loss in a row for Old Town and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Caribou, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Old Town will take on Washington Academy in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Caribou and Fort Kent will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Caribou's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
