Soccer Game Preview: Walnut Grove vs. Social Circle

The Walnut Grove Warriors will square off against the Social Circle Redskins at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Walnut Grove is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering North Oconee just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 1-0. The shutout was out of character for Walnut Grove seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

Despite a strong season so far, Social Circle has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They lost 6-0 to Jackson County on Tuesday.

Walnut Grove's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 11-6. As for Social Circle, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-4.
