The Anderson County Mavericks will venture away from home to take on the South-Doyle Cherokees at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Anderson County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.

Anderson County is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Carter just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Green Hornets by a score of 7-6.

Anderson County's loss dropped their record down to 20-8. As for South-Doyle, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-14-1.

Anderson County skirted past South-Doyle 4-2 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mavericks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
