Appalachian has gone a perfect 6-0 against Ragland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will take on the Purple Devils at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Appalachian saw some tournament action on Monday. They came up short against Hayden, falling 13-7. The Eagles have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Ragland lost 11-5 to West End on Tuesday.

Ragland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kobe Embry, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Embry is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Appalachian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Ragland, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything went Appalachian's way against Ragland in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, as Appalachian made off with a 16-0 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Purple Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
