Softball Recap: Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays vs. Platteview Trojans
Ashland-Greenwood won the last time they faced Platteview, and things went their way on Saturday too. The Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays blew past the Platteview Trojans 11-3. Considering the Bluejays have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Evie Hofmeister looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in strikeouts.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ellie Milburn, who went 3-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Hofmeister, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Ashland-Greenwood hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Platteview struck out ten times.

As for Platteview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Raymond Central on Monday.
