Volleyball Game Preview: Batavia Blue Devils vs. Pittsford Panthers

Batavia hasn't had much luck against Pittsford recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will square off against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Pittsford took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Batavia, who comes in off a win.

Batavia took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Honeoye Falls-Lima as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Blue Devils have beaten the Cougars the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cougars has come to flipping the script.

Batavia walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-12, 25-18, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Pittsford came up short against Our Lady of Mercy on Monday and fell 3-1.

Batavia's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Pittsford, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Batavia suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Pittsford in their previous meeting last Saturday. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
