Baseball Recap: El Cajon Valley Braves vs. Liberty Charter Lions
El Cajon Valley was the 10-2 winner over Liberty Charter when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The El Cajon Valley Braves lost 27-1 to the Liberty Charter Lions on Thursday.
El Cajon Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matias Herrera, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. That's the most hits Herrera has posted since back in April of 2024.
El Cajon Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Liberty Charter, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
El Cajon Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mountain Empire at 3:30 p.m. on March 11th.
