Baseball Recap: Mitchell Victorious

While Mitchell put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Pinellas Park. The Mustangs walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Patriots.

Andrew LaMacchia got the start for Mitchell and what a start it was: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over six innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kyle Koslin, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Mitchell's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Pinellas Park, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Mitchell wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 5-3 loss against Wesley Chapel on the 17th. As for Pinellas Park, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Northeast on the 16th.
