Topeka is 9-1 against Lansing since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Trojans will look to defend their home pitch against the Lions at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Monday, Topeka came up short against Washburn Rural and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, Topeka can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Washburn Rural are ranked second).

Meanwhile, Lansing was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Turner. Ryder Hinton was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Lansing's goal came courtesy of Xavier Perez, who's now up to eight this season.

Lansing's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10-1. As for Topeka, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5-1.

Topeka took their victory against Lansing in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 5-1 score. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
