Soccer Game Preview: Triangle Math & Science Academy vs. Research Triangle

Triangle Math & Science Academy is 0-8 against Research Triangle since February of 2022 but things could change on Monday. The Tigers will host the - at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Triangle Math & Science Academy fell victim to NCSSM: Durham and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 9-0 to the Unicorns. While losing is never fun, Triangle Math & Science Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 497th, while NCSSM: Durham are ranked 78th).

Meanwhile, Research Triangle came up short against Vance Charter on Friday, falling 4-1. Research Triangle haven't had much luck with Vance Charter recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Research Triangle's goal came courtesy of Avery Hardister, who's now up to 19 this season.

Research Triangle's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Triangle Math & Science Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14-1.

Triangle Math & Science Academy suffered a grim 8-2 defeat to Research Triangle in their previous meeting back in March. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Tigers were down 4-1.
