Softball Recap: Broadneck Takes a Loss

Broadneck blew Severna Park out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Severna Park got their revenge. Broadneck fell just short of Severna Park by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Bruins couldn't push the score so high this time.

Rylan Crisafulli was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Crisafulli wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Aliceanna Weibley, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Broadneck now has a losing record of 1-2-1. As for Severna Park, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Broadneck will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Easton at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Severna Park, they will venture away from home to square off against Old Mill at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
