Softball Recap: Princeville Princes vs. ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars
Princeville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars, falling 23-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 on Tuesday.
Sierra Stahl was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Mekaya Cihla, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
Princeville's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for ROWVA/Williamsfield, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-13.
Princeville has already played their next game, a 13-0 defeat against Biggsville West Central on the 2nd. As for ROWVA/Williamsfield, they will welcome Henry-Senachwine at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mallards will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
