Softball Recap: Edgerton Victorious

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Edgerton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They skirted past the East Troy Trojans 9-8. For the Crimson Tide, this counts as revenge for the 10-9 win the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Ava Ferrell spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on 12 hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Edgerton got a massive performance out of Finley Eastman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave Eastman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jenna Kahl, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs.

Edgerton's victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for East Troy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Edgerton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 22-13 loss against Belleville on the 8th. As for East Troy, they will welcome Jefferson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
