Highland is 9-1 against Lancaster since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Highland Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Lancaster Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Lancaster took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Highland, who comes in off a win.

Highland is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Antelope Valley: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Highland blew Antelope Valley out of the water with a 58-26 final score. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 32 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Lancaster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Knight an easy 60-35 victory. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 817th, while the Hawks are ranked 132nd).

Highland will have to contain Keelan Benjamin as he made an impact in Lancaster's last game. He posted 13 points.

Lancaster's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-9. As for Highland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6.

Everything went Highland's way against Lancaster in their previous meeting back in January, as Highland made off with a 56-36 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Highland since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
