Carson is 8-2 against South Rowan since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cougars will head out to take on the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Although Carson took the loss, they still got scores from Zay Phillips, Drew Neve, and Griffin Barber.

Meanwhile, South Rowan played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against East Rowan, falling 33-12. While the Raiders had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Mustangs 12-7.

South Rowan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Carson, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Carson has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 208.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like South Rowan struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 169.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
