Volleyball Recap: South Harrison Hawks vs. Williamstown Yellowjackets

South Harrison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Williamstown Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

South Harrison started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-18, 16-14.

Kennedy Southern paced South Harrison's offense, picking up ten kills. Southern got some help from Abby Louk and her 12 assists. Southern was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

South Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 22-9. As for Williamstown, they moved to 10-15-3 with that win, which also ended their four-match losing streak.

Coming up, South Harrison is taking a road trip to challenge Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Williamstown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
