Basketball Recap: El Segundo Takes a Loss

El Segundo lost against Edison back in November of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Eagles took a 64-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 679th, while the Chargers are ranked 171st).

This is the second loss in a row for El Segundo and nudges their season record down to 3-8. As for Edison, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Looking ahead, El Segundo will head out to square off against Los Amigos at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Lobos' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Edison, they will take on King at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
