Basketball Recap: Courtland Gets the Win

Courtland won the last time they faced King George and things went their way on Friday too. The Courtland Cougars narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the King George Foxes 41-39. The 41-point effort marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Courtland has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for King George, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Courtland will venture away from home to face off against Culpeper County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Courtland is facing Culpeper County at the right time seeing as Culpeper County is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for King George, they will head out on the road to take on Great Mills at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
