Recap: Gardner-Edgerton Trailblazers vs. Bonner Springs Braves
The Gardner-Edgerton Trailblazers were the 44-36 winner over the Bonner Springs Braves when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Gardner-Edgerton fell just short of Bonner Springs by a score of 48-45. Gardner-Edgerton's loss continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Kalen Streit was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with eight steals and four blocks for Bonner Springs. Streit is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jackson Nez, who scored seven points.
Gardner-Edgerton's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-3. As for Bonner Springs, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
Gardner-Edgerton will be playing at home against Lawrence Free State at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bonner Springs, they will head out on the road to face off against Paola at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Paola is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
