Basketball Recap: Parrish Community Skates Past Southeast with Ease

There's no place like home for Parrish Community, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Southeast Seminoles 64-34 on Tuesday. With the Bulls ahead 40-19 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Parrish Community's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayna Bowen, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. Bowen has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Romana Lind was another key player, putting up 12 points and six boards.

Parrish Community smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive contests.

Parrish Community's victory bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Southeast, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season.

Parrish Community has already played their next matchup (against Palmetto), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Southeast will face off against Bayshore at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southeast is facing Bayshore at the right time seeing as Bayshore is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
