Manistee was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against the Hart Pirates by a score of 9-4. The Mariners haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Adam Olson spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Eli Workman, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Landin Sowa, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Manistee's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Hart, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9-1 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Manistee beat Hart by a score of 12-3 later that day.
