Baseball Recap: St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse Gets the Win

While St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse's win against Tekoa-Rosalia wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 20-19 victory over Tekoa-Rosalia on Thursday. Blake Johnson was a standout: he scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He has become a key player for St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 0-4 otherwise. Creighton Kauffman was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

The victory made it two in a row for St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse and bumps their season record up to 2-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 23.5 runs over those games. As for Tekoa-Rosalia, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
