Halls is a perfect 10-0 against Campbell County since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Halls Red Devils will be playing at home against the Campbell County Cougars at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Campbell County will be up against a hot Halls team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Everything went Halls' way against Bearden on Monday as Halls made off with a 13-1 win. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Red Devils this season.
Atiana Stamper looked comfortable as she struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Makaylie Hutchison and Brielle Johnson did most of the damage at the plate: Hutchison got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Johnson scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Harper Bales, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.
Halls was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .522. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Campbell County). They blew past Oneida 13-4 on Monday. The Cougars not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 25, 2024.
Keira Bierdemann made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits.
In other batting news, Destiny Rutherford was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two). Julianna Zamora was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
Halls' victory bumped their record up to 5-1-1. As for Campbell County, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Halls took their win against Campbell County when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0. Does Halls have another victory up their sleeve, or will Campbell County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
