Softball Recap: Colleton Prep Academy's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

While Colleton Prep Academy put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Hilton Head Prep. Colleton Prep Academy was the clear victor by a 27-0 margin over Hilton Head Prep. With that win, the War Hawks brought their scoring average up to 7.1 runs per game.

Elena Mathis was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Mathis was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles.

In other batting news, Colleton Prep Academy got a massive performance out of Addy Busch, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. The dominant performance also gave Busch a new career-high in hits (two). Banks Benton also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.

Colleton Prep Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .806. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Colleton Prep Academy's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7. As for Hilton Head Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.
