Gibson Southern and Jasper squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Gibson Southern had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 7-6. The Titans' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Gibson Southern saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miley Sperling, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

Gibson Southern's defeat dropped their record down to 21-9. As for Jasper, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-10-1.

Gibson Southern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jasper, they will challenge Evansville Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
