Christian Home Educators Fellowship entered their tilt with Faith Training Christian Academy on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over Faith Training Christian Academy. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by exactly ten runs.

Caleb Whitehead made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched 1.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. He is becoming a predictor of Christian Home Educators Fellowship's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-7 when he doesn't).

In other pitching news, Nathan Steele looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Back at the plate, Hank Pearce and Braxton Gautreau did most of the damage at the plate: Pearce scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3, while Gautreau scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Gautreau a new career-high in RBI (three). Aaron Taylor was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Christian Home Educators Fellowship kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 5-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Christian Home Educators Fellowship pushed their record up to 10-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Faith Training Christian Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Home Educators Fellowship will head out to take on Amite School Center at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Faith Training Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Christian Academy of Louisiana at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
