Volleyball Recap: Jadin Gibbs Turner Key Part of Team Effort in Jaguars Win

Flowers won the last time they faced High Point and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Jaguars blew past the Eagles 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Flowers was: they took every set by at least 19 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-2, 25-6.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Flowers to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jadin Gibbs Turner, who had nine assists and seven aces. Those seven aces gave Gibbs Turner a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Allen, who had six aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Flowers was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in 12 consecutive contests.

Flowers has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for High Point, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

Looking ahead, Flowers will look to defend their home court on Thursday against North Point at 6:30 p.m. High Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
