Baseball Game Preview: Gloucester Catholic Rams vs. Pennsville Memorial Eagles

Gloucester Catholic has gone 9-1 against Pennsville Memorial recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Rams will welcome the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Gloucester Catholic will come into the match with an undefeated record on the line.

Gloucester Catholic is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over Hun on Thursday. With that victory, the Rams brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Noah Danza was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and one double. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Jason Bogart was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Pennsville Memorial and Pitman, and Pitman kept the tradition alive. The Eagles fell 7-2 to the Panthers on Wednesday.

Pennsville Memorial saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stephen Fatcher, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Gloucester Catholic's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Pennsville Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Gloucester Catholic was able to grind out a solid victory over Pennsville Memorial when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 8-5. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
