Baseball Recap: Eight Straight Home Victories for May River

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but May River had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles.

The team relied heavily on Trace Mischik, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Dylan Mischik was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs.

May River was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .516. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.1 runs over those games. As for Gray Collegiate Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-14.
