Volleyball Recap: Providence Takes a Loss

Providence lost against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pioneers fell just short of the Braves by a score of 3-2. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The 3-2 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Providence lost were decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-22, 18-25, 25-22, 15-12.

Hadley Hasselbring paced Providence's offense, picking up 22 kills. Hasselbring got some help from Rylie Neal and her 53 assists. Aubrey Fromme controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Harper Krautkramer went supernova For Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory., getting 20 digs and four assists. That's the most assists Krautkramer has posted since back in September of 2024.

Providence's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Providence has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Warsaw on the 23rd. As for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Carmel on the 23rd.
