Crystal Springs Uplands had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Westmoor on Thursday. Crystal Springs Uplands' pitcher stepped up to hand Westmoor a 6-0 shutout. The Gryphons' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Brandon Ma was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Connor Uchida was incredible, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Rohan Seiber also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Crystal Springs Uplands' record now sits at 8-0. As for Westmoor, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
