Basketball Game Preview: Woodstock Blue Streaks vs. Richmond-Burton Rockets

The Woodstock Blue Streaks are taking a road trip to challenge the Richmond-Burton Rockets at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodstock is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Last Monday, Woodstock slipped by Belvidere 48-47.

Meanwhile, Richmond-Burton had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They blew past the Green Giants, posting an 82-48 victory. The Rockets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 25 points or more this season.

Woodstock is also on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points per game. As for Richmond-Burton, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7.

Woodstock came up short against Richmond-Burton in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 52-47. Can Woodstock avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
