Softball Recap: Solon Comets vs. Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs
Even though Stow-Munroe Falls scored an imposing ten runs on Tuesday, Solon still came out on top. The Solon Comets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-10 win over the Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Solon.
The team relied heavily on Alyssa Gerome, who scored two runs while going 4-for-6. Another player making a difference was Alexis Earle, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.
Solon's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-0. As for Stow-Munroe Falls, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
Solon will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Wadsworth at 5:00 p.m. As for Stow-Munroe Falls, they will head out on the road to challenge Nordonia at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
