Baseball Game Preview: Mountain View Christian Academy Conquerors vs. Randolph-Macon Academy Yellow Jackets

Mountain View Christian Academy is 0-5 against Randolph-Macon Academy since April of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Conquerors will venture away from home to square off against the Yellow Jackets at 4:30 p.m.

Mountain View Christian Academy can't be too happy about their upcoming road matchup considering what happened when they opened their season away from home back in April. They came up short against Randolph-Macon Academy, falling 11-1. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

For Randolph-Macon Academy's part, Thomas Glasgow and Finn Strabley were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Glasgow didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over 4.2 innings pitched. Meanwhile, Strabley tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Glasgow has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time he's pitched this season. At the plate, Glasgow went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Strabley got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

In other batting news, Randolph-Macon Academy got a big performance out of Soren Anderson, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Joshua Hernandez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
