Glenbard East has gone a perfect 10-0 against Elgin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Rams will face off against the Maroons at 4:30 p.m. Glenbard East will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Glenbard East will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating West Aurora, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Rams came out on top against the Blackhawks by a score of 7-2 on Wednesday.

Claire Bolda spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up 16 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alexis Amrhein, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Althea Fitzgerald was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Riverside-Brookfield hit Elgin with a 11-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Maroons came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 19-4. The Maroons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Abigail Mutolo was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Grace Tetrev, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Elgin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Glenbard East, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
Elgin's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Glenbard East has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Elgin, though, as they've been averaging 11.6 hits. Given Glenbard East's sizable advantage in that area, the Maroons will need to find a way to close that gap.
Glenbard East took their victory against Elgin when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 18-0 score. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Maroons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
